Elizabeth's Valentine

I was really going for feminine and lacey on this card for my very best friend. Its not a normal style for me and I think it might be better with some distressing. I'll have to try it again. Hmmm. But I do love the lacey look of the scallop edge punch.

I used an Aqua Painter and ink to color the rose and then trimmed it and popped it with some dimensionals. For the words, I printed a saying on cardstock because I didn't have a stamp that said exactly what I wanted "Are we not like two volumes of one book?"

The next thing for me to do is make some Jane Austen inspired cards. What would she send her friends if she were here today?

I used:
* Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set
*Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke card stock and Basic black ink
*Regal Rose ink and Aqua Painter
*Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
*Little Leaves Sizzlits die
*Scallop Edge Punch
