I've spent more time trying to take a good picture of this card than I spent making it! ARG!!!
Today's card is for The Paper Players sketch challenge. Its a really fun sketch, and not a normal layout for me, so when they say its a challenge, it really is!
The subtle polka dot texture on the white looks so cute in person! But in almost every picture, it totally disappeared so I ended up with this picture which, if I'm honest, doesn't really do justice to the card.
Look! Same card, NO DOTS!!!
But still, not as cute as the original. Am I the only one having this problem?
Does anyone have any photography tips for me? Anyone???
I used:
* Word Play stamp set
* Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Whisper White and Lucky Limeade card stocks
* Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Melon Mambo markers
* Perfect Pennants die
* 1 3/4" circle punch
* Circle Scissors Plus
* Linen Thread
* Basic Rhinestone
Cute card! Maybe we need to get you a camera for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAdorable - I know what you're talking about. Sometimes texture just doesn't show up well in photos but it is super cute nonetheless! Thanks so much for playing at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card! Texture can be really tough to photograph sometimes, I agree. I can really see it it the first photo and I think it looks great! I love all o fthe pretty layers you added and the twine is a super touch. Thanks so much for joining us at the Paper Players this week! :)
ReplyDeleteNatalie... no... you are definitely not the only one... I have details that disappear, too! I love this card though. the textured large polka dot background really does add a lot of interest and is the perfect backdrop to your focal point. Love the colors you choose, too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined the Paper Players and shared this lovely creation

You're not crazy--details get totally lost on white but I can see the large polkies in the first photo and I love how they echo the large circle focal point. Fabulous colors and love the layering of the doily with the other colors. Great job--Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable, Natalie! I can see the polka dots in your first photo. I have trouble when I photograph white cards, too. You are not alone. Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!
